Biography
Windser on Tour
Singer/songwriter Windser (whose real name is Jordan Topf) grew up on the sunny shores of Santa Cruz in Northern California in a place where the redwood trees meet the ocean, which inspired the title of his 2022 debut EP, Where the Redwoods Meet the Sea.
Filled with shimmering, feel-good indie pop tunes and introspective lyrics, Windser drew on his experience writing and producing for several other artists to craft his own immaculate pop music for a solo project born during the pandemic lockdown.
A profile-raising turn singing on rapper Macklemore's tune "Next Year" helped raise his stature and he's been amassing new fans around the world ever since -- touring with popular indie rock acts such as Portugal. the Man and alt-J.
An earlier single of Windser's "Memory" was featured on SiriusXM's Alt Nation as a "critical cut" as well as KROQ's "Pick of the Week." Don't miss your chance to catch this talented rising artist when he performs live in a city near you.
Windser Live in Concert
Born Jordan Topf and raised in Santa Cruz, California, gifted singer/songwriter and indie-pop artist Windser adeptly turns painful memories and loss as well as joyful experiences into gorgeous indie pop tunes.
Windser was raised by parents he calls "old hippies" who loved music -- his father played guitar and his mother is a jazz piano player. Windser's father died when Windser was in his early 20s, so the singer honored him by playing his father's guitar on his debut EP, Where the Redwoods Meet the Sea. The record's title is also an homage to his dad, who had a tendency to romanticize the natural beauty of their hometown and the fog that rolled in every morning through the woods to the Pacific Ocean.
The EP finds Windser tapping into the bittersweet memories of his childhood for inspiration, and followed a popular collaboration with Seattle rapper Macklemore on "Next Year," whom he joined for a performance of the tune on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" It's clear that Windser's star is rapidly on the rise.
