Hendrix provides music therapy to people with disabilities in her spare time and her spirit of care and compassion carries over into her live shows, where she treats fans to uplifting lyrics like "own your own universe" and "take to your own road". Whether she's waxing confessional on the introspective "Hole in My Pocket" or getting audiences amped up with call-and-response vocals on "Throws Like a Girl", Hendrix is a bundle of positive energy who always treats ticket buyers to an emotional concert experience on her unforgettable tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

San Antonio, TX-born Terri Hendrix was a prolific writer and musician from an early age, penning lyrics and teaching herself to play guitar as a child before joining choir in high school. After being turned down by several record labels, she borrowed money from friends to self-release her 1996 debut album Two Dollar Shoes. Thanks to the strength of her songwriting and her inspirational live shows in support of the album, she sold enough copies to pay back her investors -- and then some.  A string of albums released on her own label Wilory Records followed in the '90s and '00s, earning her a reputation as one of Americana's brightest rising talents. In 2002 she took home a Grammy Award for Best Country Instrumental Performance for the song "Lil' Jack Slade", which she co-wrote with the Dixie Chicks. Since then she has received numerous additional honors including Best Singer-Songwriter by the Austin Chronicle and a spot on the South Texas Walk of Fame. A seasoned performer known for her warm spirit and radiant energy, Hendrix continues to captivate on tour.
